US government designates Venezuela’s Cartel de Los Sales as a terrorist group

US Government It was named Cartel de los Salles, a Venezuela-based crime group led by global terrorist organization President Nicolas Maduro.
Cartel de los Saul, or Sands’ cartel, is authorized by the US for providing support to foreign terrorist organizations, such as the violent Tren de Aragua and the like. Sinaloa CartelAccording to a news release from the US Treasury Department.
“Today’s actions further expose the illegal Maduro administration’s promotion of narco terrorism through terrorist groups like Cartel de los Sales,” the Treasury Department Scott Bescent said in a statement.

In January, the US increased its pay to $25 million for information that led to Maduro’s arrest and conviction. The United States has not recognized Maduro as president of Venezuela since 2019.
