Visitors after O’Reilly and Kovacic scores were delayed
Manchester City came in fourth in the Premier League table after running out a 2-0 winner at Everton at Goodison Park.
Nico O’Reilly and Mateo Kovasic found the net late in City after enduring a nearly uninspirational afternoon at Merseyside.
Everton approached the first half courtesy of James Tarkowski, but the Toffees captain limped from injuries shortly after reopening.
The results continue with a disastrous recent record for the city of Everton. The last time they defeated a visitor was in 2017.

Below I’m frustrated with the host
Visitors dominated the opening exchange with Kevin de Bruin, playing his last few games as an urban player, finding early space pockets in Everton’s defensive third.
With 15th hour gone, Matheus Nunes tried his luck from the range. And while his standing leg was crumbling, the shot was still doomed to the bottom corner, but Jordan Pickford equally pushed the ball into the corner.
Toffee had started the slower side of both sides, but the closest person to him early on was the Moe man. From the corner, Captain James Tarkowski’s header rebounded from the correct post alongside Stephen Ortega at the city’s goal rooted in the spot.
It proved to be an outstanding moment from half the football.
After the break, Ortega misjudged the cross from the right. The ball drifted over the city keeper, but Ndiaye couldn’t get the necessary connection and the visitors were able to clear it.
Moet then took a heavy hit when his 111th straight runs, which started in Everton’s Premier League, was just three short of Waynebridge’s all-time record.

Pickford successfully saved himself from Savigno after a great job by Omar Marmash in the build-up.
But even though they knew that victory would lift them fourth at the table, it was almost unconvincing from Guardiola’s part.
However, with five minutes remaining, City defeated a deadlock courtesy of O’Reilly. Nunes raced transparently on the right before sending a low ball over the box, with the unmarked left back and an impressive 20-year-old made no mistake from six yards.
The goal has given the city a new life. At Stoppage time, following a pass from Ilkay Gundogan, Soltiver Kovacic secured the points when he found the net.
