Waffle House will end the 50 cent egg extra charge when prices drop

The chain announced X’s “Egg Cell News” in a post that said “Egg surcharges are officially off the menu,” and thanked its customers for their understanding.

“As opposed to raising prices across the menu, this is a temporary target extra charge that has led to an unprecedented rise in egg prices,” the company said, adding that eggs will remain an important component of the menu.
There are over 1,900 locations in 25 states, mainly in the Midwest and South. Waffle House “These price fluctuations will be short-lived,” he said.

“When President Trump took office, egg costs were record highs and after years of terrible inflation, he seriously stopped consumer wallets,” US Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins said last week.

“On my first day as a secretary, we worked to implement five strategies to improve farm biosecurity and lower egg prices on grocery shelves. The plan is working and the family is relieved by egg prices that promote food deflation on the April consumer price index,” she added.
