Washington University is facing Trump’s managed anti-Semitism investigation over anti-Israel protests
The Trump administration has announced it is investigating Anti-Israel protest Students at Washington University on Monday occupying the engineering building and burning two dumps before riot equipment police moved in and arrested 30 people.

Education Secretary Linda McMahon said in a statement that “destructive behaviour” by protesters was “unacceptable.”

The group accused UW of being “a direct partner in Palestinian genocide through its loyalty to its partnership with Boeing.” The group said that Boeing would “produce F-15 fighter jets, Apache helicopters, Hellfire missiles and bombs that Israel would “murder all Palestinian families and destroy Palestinian homes, schools, hospitals and mosques.”
UW President Ana Mali Koh has come out strongly against the protesters. It says it is “illegal occupation of buildings” and not peaceful.
She also condemned the group’s statement celebrating the Hamas terrorist attacks on October 7, 2023. Israeli civilians.
“The University is not threatened by this type of horrific, destructive behavior and will not engage in dialogue with groups that use or tolerate such destructive tactics,” Cauce said in a statement. “We can continue to act against anti-Semitism, racism and all forms of bias, ensuring that all students, faculty, staff and visitors are safe and welcome on campus.”
The task force is currently investigating more than 60 universities as it reportedly failed to address anti-Semitism on campus. As a result of these studies, seven institutions, Harvard, Brown, Cornell, Northwestern, Columbia, Princeton and the University of Pennsylvania, have already cut funding.

“Institutions that tolerate violence, harassment, or open threats by Jewish students should not expect to receive billions with taxpayer support,” HHS’ Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said in a statement. “This is not about politics, whether federally funded universities support the law, protect civil rights and foster a safe environment for all students.”

After occupying the building on Monday, protesters built a banner reading the “Shaban Al-Daroo Building” and symbolically changed their name after a 19-year-old Palestinian man from Gaza was killed during the bombing. The group is planning another protest at 1pm local time, Thursday at 1pm in front of Gerberding Hall on campus to help those arrested.
