We believe – Jude Bellingham says Real Madrid is growing confidence that they can overturn the deficit and knock out Arsenal
Jude Bellingham says his belief in the Real Madrid camp is growing.
Madrid was overwhelmed by Arsenal in the first leg of last week. Gunner who won 3-0 with the Emirates European champions will need a special night at the Santiago Bernabeu to reach the semi-finals.
Bellingham admitted he was suspicious right after the first match, but now he is confident that the team will be able to get the job done tomorrow night.

Bellingham – We are sure we can do that now
Speaking at a press conference before the match this afternoon, the English midfielder said:
“It’s contagious and you’re more confident in the situation you’re in.
“I can’t say it was right away. When we were in the US (after the match in London), we weren’t what we were now, but we believe in ourselves.”
Madrid wasn’t a great run, it was their first win in four games, winning 1-0 at Araves over the weekend.
We don’t always want everything to be right – Bellingham
But Bellingham still thinks it’s enough for them to pass through.
“Of course,” he added. “We’ve had complicated games, but we still managed to win. I think there are negative things in the game. We don’t always do everything right.
“We can still do very well, regardless of the bad times. We have to trust our potential.
“You have to trust that players will give everything. There’s a magical night at the Bernabeu and we believe we can make things better. We have to raise the level of attention and we can be there.
“We’re not stupid, but we trust the abilities we have. We weren’t really surprised by Arsenal. They’re a very good team and have great coaches.”
“Remontada” is the most used word in dressing rooms in Madrid
The word “lemon tada” – a comeback in Spanish – is found throughout the local media, and Bellingham says it was also the most used word in the dressing room.
“I’m sure I’d heard it millions of times last week,” he said. “This motivates us a lot, it’s a night made for Real Madrid.
“There’s always an incredible vibe at the Bernabeu. The energy is contagious. We’re not asking our fans to do anything they’ve never done before.
“It’s up to us, and we have to give them everything to feel the energy and be proud of them.”
