We love the challenge of injury, says Arteta.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta says he loves the challenge of losing the main advancement option for injuries, but losing Kai Herberts is “event” as the load on top Premier League players has put a load on them. I believe it is an accident waiting for this.

Havertz goes out for the rest of the season with a hamstring injury and joins Gabriel Jesus and Buka Yosaka on the sidelines.

Arsenal offers Raheem Sterling, Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli.

It is still unclear who will be used in the central role in the coming weeks.

Arteta said: Hubbers’ injuries then happened in an unexpected way. It’s a big blow for the injuries we have.

“The good news is that we’ve gone through a lot this season. It’s a challenge I have. We love it. Let’s see what our team is made up of.

“We know what the answer will be if a team in this league loses four players on the frontline.”

Arteta said Saka and defender Ben White have returned to the early stages of training but will not be able to face Leicester this weekend.

Arsenal has already tried to lighten Ollie Watkins while attacking during the January transfer period, but Arteta says his side must deal with the latest losses.

He states: This season, it’s accumulation, stress. Is that bad luck? Certainly, schedules are demanding and become a problem for explosive players.

“The strength has clearly reached a different level. The demands on players are increasingly high, and the result is an increase in long-term injuries, especially muscle-related injuries.

“We train more than ever. We’ve had fewer training hours. The problem is that because our muscles are overtrained, our muscles and tendons are not ready to absorb stress and we’re recovering. It’s not time for me.”
