The president praised by a passionate Republican and at least one prominent Democrat Donald TrumpSaturday’s leadership after the US completed attacks on three Iranian nuclear sites.

Democrats John Fettermand-penn. He also said Trump made the correct call.

“This was the right move by @potus, as I’ve kept for a long time,” he said in X. “Iran is one of the world’s leading terrorist sponsors and cannot have nuclear capabilities.

R-Texas Rep. Brandon Gill said, “‘Peace by force’ means ensuring that existential enemies do not acquire the most deadly and devastating weapons known to humans. ”

And former Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz called Trump a “peacemaker.”

Wyoming Republican Sen. John Baraso said Trump’s decision was “right. The biggest threat to the security of the United States and the world is Iran, which has nuclear weapons. God blesses our army.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) wrote that the US “Iranian military operations should serve as a clear reminder to President Trump to his enemies and allies that what he means.”

Johnson said the president gave Iran “every opportunity to make a deal, but Iran refused to commit to a nuclear disarmament agreement. President Trump has made it clear that nuclear-armed Iran is not tolerated. That stance is now being implemented with strength, accuracy and clarity.”

He added that Trump’s “decisive action is to prevent the world’s largest national sponsor, “to ’cause death for America'” from obtaining the deadliest weapon on earth.’

But Sen. Thomas Massey, who wrote the power of war to prevent the US from becoming involved in Iran, said the attack was “not a constitution.”

Rep. Ro Khanna, a California Democrat, reiterated Massie’s sentiment.

“Trump attacked Iran without Congressional permission. I’ll need to return to DC soon and vote for @Repthomasmassie and my war power resolution.
