1 cup yellow cornmeal
1 teaspoon salt
4 teaspoons of baking powder
1 big egg

1 glass of milk
⅓ cup white sugar
Cup cup anselted butter melted
Chop 6 slices of cooked bacon and reserve grease
2 tablespoons of Kentrollins Roast Hatch Green Chili or Diced Green Chili 4 oz Can

1. Indoor: Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. To a mixing bowl, add flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt and baking powder. Mix well.

3. Make a well at the bottom of the cornbread mixture and crack the eggs. Beat until smooth. Add milk and stir before adding Melted butter Mix well.
4. Add the drained green chili and bacon. Add half of the reserved bacon grease and mix well.

5. In a Dutch oven, spread the remaining Bacon grease and thoroughly oil the cast iron surface.

6. Pour the cornbread mixture, hit the Dutch oven several times on the counter and set the batter. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
