Willie Robertson reveals Father Phil Robertson’s final message before his death

“Duck Dynasty” star Willie Robertson revealed the last words his late father previously shared with him. His death.

In May, Phil Robertson, famous for establishing the duck commander hunting company, which became the focus of the A&E show, passed away at the age of 79. The “duck dynasty” family head previously fought multiple health conditions, including Alzheimer’s disease.

In an interview with TV Insider, Willie, 53, recalled Phil’s final message to his family.

“Phil had been struggling with Alzheimer’s for a while,” Willie said. “It certainly was in our hearts, his condition. It’s a part of life.”

He continued, “Phill had something like that.” Strong faith. He told us before, “Don’t cry at my funeral. I know where I’m going.”

“Duck Dynasty” star Phil Robertson forces him to feed him and plan to “keep the faith” when he fights Alzheimer’s disease.

“What a life he is,” Willie added. “We heard from thousands of people, from people he influenced. Phil would have wanted to do exactly what we were doing. It’s a reflection of that faith, and our show reflects our faith.”

“It’s not overtly obvious. We don’t preach to people or convert people, but I think we can see the fruits of our show and our family’s faith. That’s how we stick together through good times and bad times. That’s why we’re on this planet.

Phil, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in December, passed away the same week as his family’s new show. “Duck Dynasty: Revival” Premiere. Phil did not participate in “Duck Dynasty: Revival” due to health issues, but the first episode of the series included a homage to him.

The video begins with footage of Willie and reads an introduction to the show from his laptop and sees him sitting in an armchair.

“So, women and gentlemen, start your engine. Only one person will win a bandana, so let’s start the game. What do you think of Phil?” asked Willie.

Phil responded with a big thumbs up to his son.

When Phil’s photos appeared, the scene faded black.

“Oh, that was great!” I heard Willie responded to the father’s gesture behind the tribute.

Willie’s wife Corey, who joined him for an interview, told a TV insider that Phil’s death was “a little surreal.”

“It was really special to our family that we had that little clip,” she said. “When we filmed this time, he was already suffering from Alzheimer’s, so he couldn’t be part of the show. We filmed the little thing he gave Willie a thumbs up.”

“It was really special Our family, “OK, this is his opportunity to tell us the torch,” she continued. “The next generation is Yuppies. They’re not telling things.”

“But we are telling Phil’s legacy because his legacy was the first thing about faith,” she said. “His whole motto was faith, family, duck in that order. His first one was faith. All of our children live it in a truly beautiful way and family.”

“That’s what this show is about,” added Corey. “It’s about the lives of families, the families of an inner generation and what it looks like. And we’re still running the duck commander, a business that started out with the duck call that we invented years ago.

Phil founded Commander Duck in 1972. The “Duck Dynasty” television program premiered in 2012, before it ended in 2017 forty years later.

In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, Willie and Korie explained how they were dealing with the loss of Phil and how they were impressed by the pouring of support they received From the fans.

“I think it’s a combination of some sadness. Not only does we miss him, but we also have joy and happiness from what he believed and where he was headed, and everything he could achieve in his life,” Willie said. “And I remembered that so many people he helped me have passed away, and so many people flooded us with messages about how they helped me change his life, either directly or indirectly, through the shows or through the podcasts and books he wrote.”

Willie shares that he is “tragic” seeing his father suffer in the fight against Alzheimer’s, but he says it will help prepare his family for his death.

“I’m ready,” he said. “We knew, he’s ready to move on, so yeah, it’s a bit mixed up, but there was really more joy.”

“Phil has publicly declared us beforehand,” he added.

“We just told a lot of funny stories and brought home all of those happy memories,” exclaimed Corey.

Corey said he hopes future generations will be inspired by his dedication to his faith and how it changed his life.

“One of the things that we reminded us over and over again, just passing on that legacy is that this guy who lived in the river didn’t own a cell phone or computer.

Cory continued. “So, for all of us, saying, ‘Hey, we are following Jesus, and that’s us’ has made our faith even more bold. And if you want to know more about it, come and talk to us as it brought full life. ”

“And my life has changed,” Willie added. “There wouldn’t have been a show for the ‘Duck Dynasty’. If his life hadn’t changed, there would have been no company. This family wouldn’t have been with me. ”

Phil’s wife Kay, 77, Before he committed to his faith, he has previously spoken about how the couple faced the marital struggles early in their union due to Phil’s alcoholism and infidelity.

Married in 1966, the pair had four sons, including Willie, Alan, 59, Jays, Jep, 55 and 47, and four sons, including many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

“To keep this family together, he and his mother are responsible for his faith and the changes in his life,” he said. “And now we see a lot of the fruits of it.”
