WNBA Draft: Paige Bueckers ranked first overall by Wings
2025 WNBA Draft Uconn Huskies star Paige Bueckers was selected overall by the Dallas Wings on Monday night, so they started the way everyone expected.

“An overwhelming sense of gratitude. It’s very surreal to be here with other draft invitees,” she said after hearing the name she was called.
The Husky National Champion Beaukers placed the cherry blossoms on top of the amazing career of Minnesota native Hopkins.

She failed to secure a spot in the National Championship Game, but fell for the Clark and the Iowa Hawk Eyes that year during her junior season.
But the Husky went back to win in South Carolina with dominant fashion earlier this month. Bueckers has been named AP All-American for the third time in her illustrious college career.
Heading towards the WNBA, the Bueckers’ expectations passed through the roof and joined the Dallas team. This can be worked with another dynamic guard, led by All-Star Arike Ogunbowale.

During his four years at UConn, the Bueckers averaged 19.8 points, 4.6 assists and 4.7 rebounds, shooting 53.1% off the field in 123 career games.
