Booing did not sit correctly with Mercury star Curly Copper. The four-time All-Star and WNBA champion thought Bonner had handled Boo well, but she didn’t understand why Jeers happened in the first place.
“I don’t understand. She’s a legend. Everything she did for the league, and just rude, I can’t get off with it. They booed her. She didn’t say words to the crowd. Indistres.
“When it comes to DB, it’s very uncomfortable what the fan base is doing. She’s just a sweet soul. The situation didn’t work for her.

Fever fans drew an irre WNBA Players around the league. Earlier this year, one Indianapolis fan was accused of making hateful comments against the Chicago Sky player. The WNBA found no evidence for this claim.
Bonner was one of the new faces to join the Connecticut Sun in the offseason five seasons later.
She only played nine games with Indiana. When she was released, she said “fit” was not right.
