Yankees announcer tears fans for the chant “f — Juan Soto”
New York Yankees Fans were in unfamiliar territory when the superstar chose Crosstown’s rival Mets over their favorite team.

Some Yankees fans support Soto’s departure as their team allowed them to bring in more players with the money they saved, but many fans are still upset.

During the Yankees game against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday, fans began chanting “F — Juan Soto.”
Mets He was long known as the Yankees’ younger brother, but the Yanks play announcer Michael Kay said the role was reversed with those chants.
“We hear this stupid joke, brother, brother, you know it was yesterday, I hate to say it, and you don’t like it. I said on his radio show It will air on the Mets flagship radio station on Friday afternoon.
“Why are you chanting about Juan Soto? Your team is winning. That’s what you’re thinking. You should be a little embarrassed.

“I’m embarrassed by you guys. I’m really embarrassed by you guys. It’s a very awful look. …You’re still a brother. The Mets have not won anything. They won the Juan Soto bid war. They have not won the championship since 1986,” Kay added. “It’s been 39 years since they won the title, and you’re chanting “Bleep Juan Soto.” I can’t understand.
“A colour that’s confused. I don’t get it, and it’s a bad look. It’s a bad, bad look. …I think it’s your awful, awful look. And I’d addressed it yesterday if I heard it through my headphones.”
Soto made his home debut with the Mets on Friday, reaching 4-4 with the RBI double. It was a bit late for the outfielder, batting .240 in his first seven games.
It’s not uncommon for Yankees fans to chant the same against Jose Altuve, the number one public enemy since the 2017 Houston Astros sign styling scandal.

Altuve defeated Aaron Judge (the rookie afterwards) for Al MVP, and Astros defeated the ALCS Yankees in seven games that year. Two years later, Altuve hit a walk-off homer against the Yanks and won a pennant again, but hesitant to remove his shirt made him not proven that he was wearing some sort of device during his batting time.
Soto will return to the Bronx for a game between May 16th for the Mets and Yankees.
