Manchester City FA Cup tie may be worth “up to £1 million” for Plymouth after Liverpool’s upset
“When I played Liverpool eight years ago, Anfield was just over 50,000, making around £700,000.
“So I think we should do a little better this time. I think Etihad has about 62,000 capacity, so I think it should be between £600,000 and £1 million.
“But it doesn’t make as much sense as when I played Liverpool.
“When I played Liverpool eight years ago, that £700,000 represented about a third of the football budget, but today’s football budget is from then on, so it’s not that important.
“More important than money is money, it’s good – it’s going to be a great day for at least 15,000 fans.”
