Elliot responded to an Instagram post saying that Rogers was his favorite bet to land in Pittsburgh.
“Leave him retired,” he wrote before deleting it.
The NFL world made its way to screenshot the statement before it went away.
Rodgers hasn’t said in any way yet that he will play another season. He will turn 42 next December.
The 10 Pro Bowler had 3,897 yards, 28 touchdown passes and 11 interceptions in his only full season Jets.

He hasn’t thrown at least 4,000 yards with the Green Bay Packers since the 2021 season.
